Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova are known for their accomplishments in the tennis courts but did you know that both are avid startup investors?
Serena Williams' Investments
Serena Williams has made over 60 investments through her venture firm, Serena Ventures, which backs companies that focus on diverse leadership, individual empowerment, creativity, and opportunity. The firm currently has a $33 billion market cap.
Some of the investments that she has made include a learning platform, a virtual clinic for people of color, and even an NFT platform. This is on top of having her own clothing line, S by Serena, and also owning a piece of the Miami Dolphins.
Maria Sharapova's Investments
As for Maria Sharapova, she has made successful investments in the health and fitness space with Tonal, a home smart gym, and Therabody, a deep muscle massage treatment. She's also co-owner of the famous SuperGoop! sunscreen.
Maria and Serena competed at the highest level of the tennis world and I can't wait to see what moves they make in the investment world!
